Rope Burn
Mannnnnnnnnnnnn....I just found out that tomorrow, for our first day back at school, we are having to go thirty minutes outside of town to a CAMP to do ROPE COURSES and TEAM BUILD....
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
I don't wanna teambuild, blind people with my white legs, or sweat in the 100 degree heat.
Chris thinks I (and all my similarly disgruntled friends) are being "turds" because "that sounds like fun, Jen!"
WHATever.
This is gonna suck so hard.

I think it will surprise you in how much you will learn to trust your fellow staff members. They make you do things that makes you build trust in each other. It will be a good thing. You might even learn to like Omorosa OR you might get an opportunity to drop her on her head, which ever comes first!! Let me know how it turns out. I mean who gets dropped on who's head!
Sweet. That's about all I have to say about that. Maybe you'll get paired up with your friend Omarosa. Good times.
I'm with you, Jen--that sounds HEINOUS. You just know some dumbass administrators heard about another school doing that (it's always "they did this at another school and it was great!") and thought it would be great for effing "team-building." Or, more likely, some "consultant" who hasn't been in a classroom in years got paid thousands of dollars by your school system to suggest it. Whatever the case, I would die...or get a doctor's excuse to get out of it. At least you'll be doing it with friends and people you know--imagine how awful it's going to be for new teachers.
You know what makes for a great "team" at schools? When all of the teachers are competent and are allowed to work on getting ready to teach instead of wasting time on this kind of crap.
UGH. I'm with you, sister.
But I don't wanna learn to like her. I like not liking her.
Well I think it sounds like crap..haha. Definitely not something I would want to do in this heat.
GROSS! I'm with you 100%.
A big fat AMEN to Max's second paragraph. Don't even get me started...
Can you get pregnant real quick?! LOL
I think it sounds horrible. The heat is definitely the biggest issue (why is our region the ONLY one in the nation not dropping a few degrees!?) but wasting time with this kind of thing is so rarely beneficial. It was OK in cheerleading camp and youth retreats but now it's just disgusting.
If it was a Corporate deal, you might get some nice door-prizey things out of it all but I know that won't happen when it's paid for by "the system."
At least WE, your devoted readers, will have something extra-fun to read in a few days!
You are not a turd.
