In Honor of Max's 34th Birthday...

I thought I'd share some photos of the time, in the summer of 99, when Max and a couple of the AHS graduates of 99 took it upon themselves to liberate my concrete cat from my front porch. They took him around town, taking photos of his many adventures. The adventures were pretty tame: signing a slam book, going on a rope swing, going to the Wal-mart, going to Waffle House, etc. I was so upset when I first opened my door that morning and saw that Concrete Cat was gone. Luckily, I knew exactly who might have it. Remember how heavy that thing was/is? (I still have it.) So happy 34th birthday, Max. Without you, college (and post-college) would have been boring as heck.

Ah, the summer of '99, a.k.a. "my skinniest year." These are great pictures, Jen--I had forgotten about the (tame) adventures of the concrete cat! Thanks!

I totally forgot about that. Genius. That was a really fun (tame) adventure. And I'm the guy on the phone with the cat.
