Done!

I finished A Tale of Two Cities this morning. I know this is like a "duh" statement, but that Charles Dickens sure can write! I can't believe I put off reading this book for so long. I love me some Sydney Carton. I want to find a good movie version of this. Anyone out there know of one? I picked up a cheap animated version (this should be interesting...) recently and haven't watched it yet, but will soon.
I won't bore y'all with my thoughts about the novel---I'll save that for emails with Amy, but if you haven't read it, please do. You kind of have to push yourself through the first fifty pages or so, but then, it's AWESOME. I found myself reading faster and faster, to get to the ending. I was on the edge of my sofa! ;)
"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done..." (more quotes from the book here)

I love you Sydney Carton. Sniff. You may be a drunk, but you are cute and you did such a great thing.
I've added this book to my Honors English class and can't wait to teach it!!! Here are some discussions about the book.

I recently read A Tale of Two Cities as well and LOVED it! I love me some Sydney Carton, too!
I'm such a loser. :(
No no no. You had a workshop and a bunch of other stuff. I had time locked up in a hotel room last week! Just promise me you'll finish it sometime soon because I want to talk to you about it!!! :)
You've inspired me. I WILL read it this year. NO excuses! Enjoyed our talk Wednesday. Thanks for coming to visit Maggie and me.
