Welcome to Wal-mart

Oh my gosh the heat.

On top of the heat, Luke and I got stranded at Wal-mart today after my car decided that no, it didn't want to start. It was a battery issue. Chris came to check on me and he managed to get it to run so I could drive home, but for a while there, I was nervous. (Upon returning home, Chris told me, "Hey, Ricky Bobby, you need to slow it down.")

While I was stranded, I was thinking, "Man, tomorrow is the tax free back to school shopping marathon! What if the car has like, hundreds of dollars of damage and I won't be able to get some new duds???" I was also getting nervous just standing around the entrance (on the inside) of Wal-mart. I felt like an unofficial greeter. Luke played in the Garfield the cat Car while I stood there, holding onto my purse. People kept going, "Hi."

Uncomfortably, I'd go, "Uh, yeah hi." Move along now.

Chris wanted me to add that he thought I was selfish and a "turd" for being all whiny thinking about the back to school clothes thing. ;) Whatever. :)

I think what you were doing is officially known as 'loitering'.

At least you didn't buy anything and everything in site...he should be glad about that ;)

Spoken just like a man! They just don't understand the importance of back to school clothes, especially for teachers. Isn't that half the reason for going into the profession?? Tee hee ;)

I made the mistake of buying a bra at Wal-mart a few weeks ago, thinking that it would be a winner. Nope. I looked like Thelma from Good Times. Ugh. Guess I'll be hitting Victoria's Secret, where I always get a winner. Guess Oprah is right--a five dollar bra can't hold you up. :( Pooh.
